Children learn to talk with the people who love them.

Sound Garden is a gentle, daily app for parents and little ones to practise speech and language together at home. Each session is made of short, playful games — like matching sounds, copying faces, and naming pictures — chosen to fit your child’s age and where they are in their talking journey. You simply follow along; the app shows you what to say, when to pause, and how to turn a few minutes into real progress.

Leave your email and we'll tell you when it opens.

A few minutes a day. No speech training needed.

Real screens from the app — tap one to take a look.

A first look

It begins the moment you open it.

Hand-painted and unhurried — no scoreboards, no timers, nothing racing your child along. Sound Garden is full of gentle voices, playful sounds, and quiet prompts that invite your child to join in. It sits sideways on a tablet, with room for a little one and a grown-up side by side.

Every screen below is taken straight from the app.

Getting started

Set up in a few taps, then you're playing.

A handful of gentle questions, a short lesson on how talking grows, and a plan for the day that never asks for more than one activity.

A short set of questions about the child, each answered with yes, not yet or not sure.
Step one

A few quiet questions

Answer yes, not yet, or not sure. There are no scores — just a gentle way for Sound Garden to find the right starting place for your child.

Step two

How children learn to talk

Six short cards teach the method: play together, say the word, then wait for their turn.

Step three

Today's garden

Three things to try, and only the first one matters. That's the whole plan for the day.

The games

Four ways into a conversation.

Each one is short, forgiving and built around taking turns. Every attempt earns a little fairy dust for the garden.

Tap the Magic Garden: a painted woodland where a flower, butterfly, ball, duck, dog and bird glow, waiting to be tapped.

Tap, and it happens

The gentlest start. You tap together, something lovely wakes up, and you're both looking at the same thing.

Copy Me: a large painted ball with the word ball on screen and the prompt say ball.

Say it, then wait

The app says one word, slowly, then holds the silence — the pause where your child finds their turn.

First Words: a ball and a dog side by side, waiting for the child to choose one.
First Words

Hear it, then find it

Listen for an everyday word, then find it together. Understanding always comes before speaking.

Picture Pairs: eight face-down cards patterned with flowers.

Flip and match

A familiar memory game, with a word said out loud each time a card turns over.

For families

Made for real days.

You're the magic ingredient

Nothing on a screen replaces your voice. Sound Garden simply gives you both something to share.

A few minutes is enough

Short, calm turns that fit around dinner and bedtime, with nothing to catch up on if you miss a day.

You're never guessing

Before every activity you're told what to say, when to pause and what counts as a win.

Be there when the first garden opens.

We'll send one email when Sound Garden Kids is ready for families. Nothing else.
